The assignment
The programme (BMZ No. 2009.6657.2) aims to improve the management of natural resources and protected areas while improving the socio-economic situation of adjacent rural communities, maintaining biodiversity in the South Caucasus without harming local livelihoods. The project area covers Syunik province, home to nearly 120,000 people according to the 2011 census.
