North-South Road Corridor, Tranche 4
ESIA for two mountain sections of Armenia's North-South Road Corridor: about 60 km from Sisian to Kajaran, and the Kajaran-Agarak section with its tunnel and access roads.
The assignment
For the Kajaran-Agarak section (10/2020 to 02/2022), the design work covered about 32 km from Agarak to the tunnel exit, about 7 km from the tunnel entrance to Kajaran and about 6 km of tunnel and access roads. We prepared the draft and final ESIA and ESMP.
For the Sisian-Kajaran section (03/2023 to 11/2023), we prepared the ESIA under the requirements of Armenian legislation and supported the project through state environmental expertise.
